Steam-distilled from the wood and branches of Amyris balsamifera, this “West Indian Sandalwood” offers a mellow, sandalwood-like aroma—creamy, balsamic, and gently sweet. In aromatherapy it’s prized for grounding the mind, easing tension and sleeplessness, and lending a serene, sensual tone to blends. On skin (well-diluted), amyris is a softening, comforting note for evening body oils and massage—lovely for meditation, intimacy, and unwind-time.

How to use

Diffuser: 2–5 drops per 200 ml water (or per device directions).

Oil burner: Always dilute—fill the dish with water first, then add 1–3 drops of the essential oil.

Room/linen spray: 6–12 drops in 100 ml distilled water + 1 tsp solubiliser; shake before each use.

Topical (in carrier oil): Face 0.2–0.5% (about 1 drop per 10–15 ml). Body leave-on 0.5–2% (about 2–6 drops per 10 ml).

Lovely with: bergamot (FCF), orange, lavender, clary sage, cedarwood, vetiver, frankincense, and patchouli.
